Overall Infrastructure Experience: Sr. Architect Infrastructure & Architecture - Thoroughly familiar with state-of-the-art Internet technologies, application development, SharePoint technologies, wide area networks, local area networks, computer operations, software quality assurance, operating systems and high availability clustering technologies. Project Management Experience: Lead Business Process Re-engineering using Brown Paper process methodologies.

Streamline a labor intensive process through the use of automated systems development.
Facilitate a multi-functional team to identify critical elements in the product implementation process and locate potential areas for improvement.
Planned, coordinated, directed and designed all operational activities of the Corporate Technology department, which supports more than 800 Home Instead Senior Care franchise offices in 15 countries.
Responsible for concept creation, project planning, developing and deploying enhanced global Intranet portal; enhancements included personalization and localization of global content and active integration with Oracle HR Systems and Microsoft Exchange.

Highly Scalable Environments: Re-Architected Level 3 Communications, Inc.  Corporate marketing site that received over 1 Million hit per day.  The replacement system consisted of a web cluster that could be scaled out to 32 web servers. This was created with existing hardware and technology and was done at a time where budgets were at a minimum.  The new web server environment increased the speed of the web site by a factor of 5x and achieved a 100% up time for 3 years. This new architecture created an annual cost savings for Level 3 Communications of over 1 Million dollars over the previous system.

Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR):   This includes researching and analyzing data in support of business functions, process knowledge, and systems requirements. Also responsible for proactively generating and compiling reports based on findings, complete with recommended improvements to or new requirements for business processes and operational procedures. Applies proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments and to assist in implementing new computer systems

Web Based Architectures: Responsible for Architecting a High Availability High throughput transaction based billing system that processed over 23 GBs of billing records daily that represented over 1 Million in revenues per day.
Responsible for all Web based operations for Level 3's Corporate IT Division including Administration of 50 web servers, Change control , Load Testing , Performance optimization , Monitoring and Metrics.

Strategic Technology: Served as the Sr. Architect for Infrastructure and Architecture for Level 3 Communications at the beginning of its start up. Developed and executed on a roadmap for opening up multiple office locations in a very short period of time while Level 3 was in a period of explosive expansion growing from 60 employees at the start to over 2000 in two years and eventually growing to over 6000 in US, Europe & Asia.  Coordinated Technology needs across multiple departments including: HR ,Finance, Operations  and  Network development. Served as the Corporate IT representative at monthly companywide budget and planning meetings held by the CFO & CIO.
At Home Instead , Inc. I was responsible for developing a 5 year growth plan that included developing an IT department of 22 that maintaining operating software systems for 14 internationally base Master Franchises and over 800 offices with a yearly revenue of over 700 Million dollars.

Service Level Management: At Home Instead , Inc. I Implemented a Tech Systems trouble ticketing system that allowed the company to track response times and identify potential software development issues.   All trouble tickets that were entered were surveyed for a customer satisfaction rating. The Technology department regularly received a 9.8 out of 10 for a Customer Satisfaction rating.
Home Instead , Inc. also implemented Microsoft System center to monitor and alert the Operations  team about possible Server or networking issues. Bandwidth monitoring and prioritization equipment were also in place to ensure that mission critical application had appropriate bandwidth to perform within SLA?s.

Business Continuity Disaster Recovery: Core architect for IT Corporate Systems Business Continuity Disaster Recovery initiative. Performed Business Impact Analysis. Determined recovery point objectives. Integrated disaster recovery in to strategic business continuity plan.  Achieved hardware independence through virtualization. Participated in Business continuity disaster recovery practice scenarios.
